Hi! My name is Jovan de Melo, I’m a Brazilian art director living in London (UK) and working at Blue Zoo Animation Studios.

I began my career as a graphic designer but eventually switched to animation in 2010 joining Copa Studio (Brazil). Over the years, my roles encompassed directing, art direction, character design, and being part of Copa Studios’ Creative Team developing new shows.

In 2019, I moved to the United Kingdom to join Blue Zoo. Working on projects such as “It’s Pony”, “Pip and Posy”, “In Shapes” “Supertato”, “Numberblocks”, “Colourblocks” and others, in roles such as background designer, character designer, and as an art director.

My background in graphic design greatly influenced my work with a stylized approach toward design, shape, and colour.
